112 MSX Basic Games presents: CATCH.GAM (73)

Here is another game I had to change almost nothing. "Catch" had an English name, a nice intro-screen, didn't need any manual, etc, etc. This is another perfect example what the SVI/MSX programmers of the C.U.C. club could do in Basic.
A lot, I had to say.

The game is some kind of early pinball machine (the one with nails instead of flippers), and a heavy person had to catch the ball coming from above through a screen full of nails.

I like the art style of this game, it uses colourfull sprites for the title and only black, white and light blue to create the whole game. Impressive, cause the overview stays clear and you don't need any manual to start playing this game.

Not user how many levels there are, I know the ball will go faster each level, so level 1 may be easy, the whole game isn't.

I like also the original idea behind the game, not trying to create MSX Basic clones of famous commercial games, like Pacman, Viper, Breakout, etc, etc.

Curious: get it now on Mediafire / Pcloud
